SAKÉ MUSHROOMS

     
     

 

 
  10+ large shitake mushrooms, washed
.5 C saké
2-4 lemon slices
2 T light soy sauce
   
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°
  2. Slice the mushrooms into .25 inch-wide strips.
  3. Put mushrooms in a suitably-sized tinfoil pouch and top with lemon slices.
  4. Add saké and soy sauce; close the pouch securely.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. (You can add a bit of julliened fresh ginger or a couple of splashes of sesame oil, if you want to try something a little different....
